Rusted Half Door, Weathered Concrete in Shade
$505.00
Quintessential Northwest light and shadow, and perennially damp seaside textures combine in vibrant style.
Signed, limited edition landscape, shot at Cape Disappointment State Park, Fort Canby, Ilwaco, Washington.
Description
Late morning sun looms brightly overhead, burning through cotton clouds. In shade, the north facing abandoned battery concrete wall, wears armor colored in a slate gray and dried mustard color palette interrupted only by cracks of ivory. A rusted metal door still clings to its one remaining hinge while English Ivy and Sword Fern, among others, launch an offensive topside.
This work is a vertical variation on the same subject matter from which a horizonal, or “wide” composition also exists.
