Among swords and sand

A story of opposites captured, two different shooting spans of time, one under a gray cloud cover, the other bathed in gold when a narrow slit opened up on the marine horizon line. Two varying focal length optic ranges recording both the wider context and the textural detail in-close. Two contrasting perspectives divided by a pathway, one outward looking into the light source at the seascape, the other looking back inland at the light fall on the landscape.

In view, and most meaningfully, a juxtaposition in the natural wonder that is Spring, the inexorable succession of the new season’s assertion of its fragile vibrance against a backdrop of the former season’s still decaying flare. A beautiful struggle makes a grand passion play on the senses, and in the cacophony a oneness emerges. This, the rotation of the earth on its axis, the rise and fall of the sun, the very gravity holding me to a path, even the sured rhythm of the organ beating in my chest โ€ฆall is fleeting.
